Accounts Payable Specialist & Receptionist | Sioux Falls

Position: Accounts Payable Specialist & Receptionist

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Sioux Falls, SD

Full-Time | Hourly

Reception Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and take messages or transfer calls.
  • Greet and direct visitors with a cheerful disposition.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Order and keep an inventory of office and restroom supplies.
  • Schedule maintenance and service calls on office equipment.
  • Coordinate office cleaners.
  • Water plants and keep reception and conference room areas tidy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities:

  • Monitor accounts payable email.
  • AP Invoices:
  • Match AP invoices to purchase orders.
  • Enter AP invoices into accounting system.
  • Set up new vendors – obtain W-9’s and certificates of insurance as applicable.
  • Create and keep current standard operating procedures and pertinent information for all of the above.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Self-starter, motivated, problem solver
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and ability to quickly learn new software
Required Meetings or Coordination:
  • Twice weekly huddle
  • Weekly Monday morning training
  • Regular one-on-one’s with department manager
  • Monthly accounts payable team meeting
